<\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe SPES “icebreaker” was “ice-creams” at initial introduction time of the 16 children, and Mrs. Cangy, their Good Fairy-like house-mother and the SPES Teacher Trainers present at this end of the year activity. (Imagine since 1997 the SPES Team has facilitated computer fun learning basics to over 4,000 needy kids!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\nWhile around at our multi-purpose Round Table all kids were “crowned” and became “Computer Queens and Kings” for the morning! The children rotated from PC to Mac computer tables and learnt the marvels of computer mouse-clicking and dragging. Amazingly, these usually turbulent kids were fascinated and joined in text reading, colour image interpretation, music and singing and enjoyed making designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fun grimacing captured by the virtual camera was another source of global laughing when viewed instants later by the kids on a computer screen! Finally, each kid was able to printout a Christmas\/New Year card to send to the person they love most\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\nThese kids seemed to have enjoyed most the remedial self-discovery multimedia program SPES designed, to instil self-esteem and eagerness to learn. Therefore, the SPES Team of Teachers\/Assessors of International Vocational Qualifications level were not surprised that on leaving all the kids asked SPES to start, as from January 2002, a special Fun-learning School, which is in fact our Multi-Literacy Global Village Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
May their Spatial Christmas Wish come true, seeing that Mauritius is developing into a Cyber Island!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
