In us for over
50+ Years

Our objectives are to promote local handcrafts, specialised cottage industries and the social welfare of Mauritian Artists and Artisans. During the past 53 years SPES has generated in Craft fields: Cultural Exchanges, Designer Connections, Seminars & Exhibitions,Research and Training, High-tech techniques Production and Marketing

The e-MOBILITY project

Following its philosophy of introducing cutting-edge technology to Mauritius, SPES has been working on a three-pronged approach for its 21st Century project following the UN recommendations of 0% AIR POLLUTION and the use of renewable energy.

The e-Bus

A mobile classroom powered by an electric motor charged from renewable energy (wind & solar) with a back-up from the Grid if needed.

The e-Tricycle

Powered by an electric motor charged by solar panels on the roof, this clean, green 4-seater tricycle produces 0% Air & Noise pollution.

The e-Boat

The “Folkloric Explorer” will run "Historical & Care for the Environment" cruises in the Grand Port area for overseas visitors and locals alike
